Our company U&I Learning was founded In 1997. It concentrated on providing online educational services and started with one important client: Elsevier. Soon, other clients followed. U&I Learning steadily became market leader in its field. Even during the difficult period 2000-2002 when other companies delivering internet solutions were struggling to survive, we kept our head up and managed to grow. In 2004, U&I Learning decided to merge with the company Atek. Atek was a service company specialised in structuring all kinds of content, such as training manuals and technical documentation. This proved to be an important decision. Now U&I Learning was not only key player on the Belgian market in the field of e-learning, we also became an important player in the field of e-content. 2004 was also the year in which the Dutch e-learning company Denkk bv. became part of U&I Learning. In doing so, we now had our own branch in the Netherlands. Meanwhile, U&I Learning kept growing steadily. We strengthened our position on the e-learning market in the Benelux by becoming partner of software developer Outstart and by taking over the Dutch e-learning specialist company FSR. Furthermore, we registered our shares on the free market of Euronext Brussels. On 21 December 2007, U&I Learning announced the final agreement for the takeover of the French e-learning player and market leader HyperOffice. This takeover implies that U&I Learning has 100% of the HyperOffice shares. HyperOffice has a very experienced team consisting of 27 e-learning specialists. With this acquisition, U&I Learning can realise an important breakthrough on the French market, that has an excellent potential for growth. Today U&I Learning has about 120 employees.
