Onboarding new accountants
EDF is a key player in the energy market that relies on internal promotions to attract new talents within its departments.
Facing a lack of attractiveness in EDF’s accountability teams, the Training and Financial departments requested an onboarding training programme dealing with:
- supplier purchases
- personnel costs
“From the project manager to the art director, your team has listened and taken into account our needs. Through fun content and storytelling, we managed to produce two high-quality online training programmes. Thank you so much.”Jean-Yves C (Supplier Purchase Orders)
Our approach & solution
Design and development of two training programmes each composed of six microlearning modules. The learning paths include a variety of formats, from understanding and learning content to practising and assessing one’s skills.
The objective is to introduce the “Personnel Costs Process” which describes how to handle supplier bills as an employee of the EDF’s accountability team.
The modules are dynamic, fun and graphically attractive to break the austere image of accountability, especially for the younger generations.
“We owe the quality of the deliverables to both the technical and pedagogical expertise, as well as the rigorous project management and creativity of your creative teams. The result was a mix between creativity and pragmatism. As Innovation Project Manager, I felt that the project was handled by a cross-disciplinary team more eager to answer our needs than to overwhelm us with sales talk. I strongly recommend working with UNI-Learning.”Olivier S. (Personell Costs)
The end result
During an internal Innovation Forum at EDF, the project has received the “Cross-functional Approach in Instructional Design Prize”, in the category “Special Contribution to Training Performance”.
The prize was earned thanks to the efforts of how well the concerned EDF departments coordinated towards a successful collaboration and how much the accountability jobs’ attractiveness was enhanced.
